18's had both 5 and 6 bottom rollers

Information I can find shows that the TD-18 had 6 rollers but I have wrong before.

That head ack rack cable blade is most times a Letourneau. But something is a bit different about this one.  I think the braces are a bit different than most. Not thinking of any other manufacturer that used overhead the same as Letourneau.

Here you can see 5 on original 18, 18A may have had both, 181 and 182 series I believe had 6, usually apparent by how far back the tracks start in relation to front end or rad

If you look at the size of the man in pede's picture and the man in hardtail's photo, then I would say that pede's Dad was driving a TD14.

I know that TD9's had 5 roller, extended track frame as an option. My 56 has it. My 51 doesn't.

...well ..certainly not on my thoughts..necessarily   !!!!.......but I am sure that is a 14...so  hopefully,@pede  will be able to rest easy after that  'unanimous'  decision.....

I have no technical knowledge to contribute to this but I'd reckon that, in no nightmare of the time, did a TD 18 have a single exhaust

Only the very last 182's had single exhaust and were starting to look like a different machine, they had a 3 piece hood that was higher to cover the horizontal muffler underneath

Seems like 57-58 then they came in with TD20 200/201 series which were almost the same, real changes came with the 20B which would be early 60's, correction I was off by a year...

I started on, what dad always called the 18A, but now think it was a 182. We also had at that time a 20/201 which was for the most part the same tractor with a few improvements and more HP but believe the undercarriage was the same size. The B series was the start of the collaboration with Stalowa Wola. Anyways I will agree my picture is a TD14. Thanks everybody!

...well...this is today.....(actually...yesterday  )  nothing RED     here but that is the way things have evolved....

..developing another paddock ....removing hundreds of tons of rock into big heaps.....placed in such a way that offers  as little disruption as possible for the big air seed drill .....We need it all done to sow in late Fedruary , ...for winter feed

I've got a question perhaps you can answer Mike.  I ran across a video of a transmission swap and installation of an auxiliary in an AR-160 (  The auxiliary was called a Joey.  Here they are often called a Brownie because a common aux. in the past was made by Brown-Lipe.  Do you know the origin of the Joey name?

I really enjoy your tobacco farming farming pictures, Mike. I can’t say that I enjoyed it that much while I was doing it, but often find myself missing those days now. Tobacco farming “here” is also a thing of the past. There are still tobacco barns around, but every time there is a bad storm, another one falls in. Since they are of no value for anything except burley tobacco, they are not rebuilt.

Thanks, DFP...and as I slowly sort those old 35mm ''slides'' out ..I have a lot of 'tobacco pictures'

,,,we had a big acreage of flu cured  tobacco...no air dried burley.....but there was a lot of burley grown by other blokes around the area

The T20 picture  was more about my enjoyment for getting old relics going again....rather than showing off the latest tractor technology......
