5250 getting fuel, won't start.

Recommended Posts

Bled out to the injectors, got it to start, ran for 30 seconds then it shut off. I'm getting about half a volt to the injector pump wire, key on. Should that be 12 volts key on? Thanks.

Not sure how the wire runs for the 5250 (different pump) but do check the condition of the terminal of the wire at the pump. I had the wire terminal simply break off on our 5230 quite a lot of years ago.

Terminal looks good. Getting intermittent voltage at the wire. Must be compromised in the harness. Or could be key switch is causing issues.

You can't get anyone to work on stuff anymore. If you aren't a BTO, you aren't even on the list.

I'd check switch first, then the wiring. I'd bet the switch has bad contacts.

Have seen routing of harness allow wire for injection pump solenoid to contact injection lines. Check at your fuse to see what voltage you have there, if low voltage at fuse you likely have a connection problem or bad ignition switch. If voltage good at fuse then problem is forward of fuse, like firewall connector or harness in engine bay.
