Guess the tractor

On way home this evening saw a gooseneck with tractor on Interstate 79 going north towards Erie.  Boys started playing their guessing game of what brand when we were pretty far away. They were saying IH.  They were correct and got an added bonus when we got to it.  ❤️

Looks straight. Red basket must be bolted on.  I have a red plastic coffee can bolted to the fender of our 856.  CupHolder DelGrande. Used a hole that was already in the fender for the bolt.
I’ve never seen a 544.  That’s similar to what, a 656?

Next size down from 656 I believe.  4 cylinder vs 6 cylinder on 656.

Same identical rear ends as 656.  4 cylinder power instead of 6.  Built as gas or diesel powered.  Available with standard transmission and TA or as a hydro .

Shame me for bringing this up here...but as i see it the binder hook should not be in the pocket. The other end of the chain should be in the pocket with the binder between. Maybe someone could take this picture and my comment to the load securement thread for me. Lol

At any rate sweet tractor and i too appreciate the "beef 1" stencil.

the diesel has a two thirds model of the 310 german diesel that the 756 had. Son has a diesel hydro 544.

I don't like where he has it chained either and I wouldn't put the binder hook in the pocket BUT is it illegal? I can't see how its considerably weaker. A load of 5 tractors went out of here today just like that headed across the border. the driver had 24 years experience. not the way I do things but he wasn't worried about it

 That's a sweet 544! very nice patina

I was waiting for an improperly tied down comment.

Neat that you got to see something like that on the highway.
