SkyMoCo
All of a sudden (isn't that how all these start) my UD-14 started pouring diesel/oil from the breather cap that is on the injector pump. I assume I have to pull the pump and rebuild it, is there anywhere that rebuilds them, can you get parts? It also started running rough and knocking a bit so I don't want to run it in this shape. hardtail
Mine did that once, didn't notice any engine difference, went away next run and never came back
SkyMoCo
I was hoping it would just go away, but let it sit overnight and it's still there. It seems to come and go and really starts knocking when it's bad. I guess it's time to pull the pump and see what I can figure out
hardtail
Maybe add some 2 stroke or atf and run it again, if somethings stuck maybe it will free up... @rustred

SkyMoCo
Turns out it that return line goes to was all clogged. There is a line that comes from the injector pump, up to a "can" and then back to the tank. I cleaned that and blew out the lines and back to running great. What's that little can like thing used for anyway, I am having a hard time finding it in the parts book. Mine was just full of mesh and goo. This is on a Austin-Western 99H road grader btw. mmi
photos...? may be a western item? change the pump oil out and your engine is diluted to
SkyMoCo
I didn't think there was any connection between the oil in the injector and oil in the engine. It only ran this way for a couple minutes and the engine oil seemed fine. Level didn't change.
hardtail
The drive gear seal would need to leak to get fuel into your engine oil, I think you have it licked for now
SkyMoCo
I love this old machine, I really need to try and find a spare engine or two. Are these used in combines by any chance? I love how it starts when it's so cold nothing else will.
hardtail
No the 14 wasn't used in ag equipment, mainly dozer, graders, power units, air compressors, etc, all industrial equipment
