jwwskymaster
I am rebuilding the gas side on the 650 diesel. The manual talks about the adjustments for all the linkages and how to adjust, but is lacking how to adjust the starting cross shaft. I have either .086 , or none end play depending on whether or not I put a washer that seems to fit between the block and the first cam. The parts manual does not indicate such a washer. Is that the correct way to adjust endplay. The manual say .030 end play. Is that a max, or a requirement. Even though I have zero end play, the shaft rotates freely. Any thoughts/ideas/experience, would be appreciated.
Dirt_Floor_Poor
@rustred would probably know the answer.
rustred
just loosen the lever bolt and slide the lever in or out to get .030 clearance between the bracket and lever.
