Sledgehammer
We all enjoy pics and I’m trying to get tuned up for RPRU so here is some pics from a show we attended this morning in Evansville IN. The Southern Indiana Antique Machinery club puts it on every year. Something for everyone. Blacksmithing demos, hit/miss engines, lawn tractors, pedal pull, kids area, large tractors, and some steam power to name a few. Not a very large IH showing really but some interesting stuff. I believe Minnie Mo was the featured large tractor this year. 15
Sledgehammer
This sign was on the factory which was in Evansville to my understanding. It’s probably 10’ square. 7
Sledgehammer
Blacksmith demo area. I have worked with this group before and they are very good. Always have a demo going during the show. 12
Steve C.
I'd do a few rounds on that Vista.
TractormanMike.mb
That looks very similar to the UP steam and gas show that we have up hear every labor day weekend, something for everyone. Some people have a lot of time on their hands by the looks of those scaled down models, at least more than I have. The detail on some of those is outstanding. Thanks for taking the time to share it with us.

Sledgehammer
Even Dennis Gage (My Classic Car TV show) was there. I believe he is from the Evansville area.

Rick G.
What a bunch of awesome pics. Thanks or taking so much time to post them. It’s funny, back in the day, I used to think those big Minnie Mo G-1000s were some ugly tractors. Lol. Not any more. Today, these new abortions they’re designing by engineers who must be on crack cocaine have taken the description FUGLY to stratospheric heights. Give me a cool looking 1970’s / 80’s era muscle tractor any day, of any brand, over this stupid looking fugly crap they’re building today. 20, 30, or 40 years from now, are we going to be going to tractor shows admiring and ooo-ing and ahh-ing over this junk they are putting out today, as future collector tractors? I think not. H_ll, today’s modern stuff probably won’t even be capable of running by then, 30, 40, or 50 years down the road like a 1206, 1456, 1466, 1486, or 5488 runs at their age today. The golden age of tractors, and farm equipment has come….. …..and gone….
KWRB
If someone made a scale series II Steiger, I might be helpless in saying no. I have yet to see one.

I was going to road it home about 140 miles, and I would have been 10 or 11. Made it 50 miles and it started knocking terrible. Spun a main bearing, and we never got it home. Think he got his money back.

MM had it on IH and Deere both as far as operator comfort. From what little I've heard the engines were overall pretty good. I was around an LP Vista years ago when I was bucking a few bales. Very nice to drive and built like a brick sh!thouse. Lots of iron.
