AP22
My 966 TA stop lug is not stopping the TA in the rearward position and it is stopping on the instrument panel frame. When trying to determine the reason, I found the shaft moves towards the middle (see picture 171) and I can't determine what's supposed to be there to keep it flush with the mounting bracket so the stop lug will catch (I think it should be like picture 170). The stop lug didn't seem worn out or feel broken. I didn't see anything about it in the TA manual however CNH's part's list shows a spacer (p/n 179814) under the drive train/TA/lever and connections page and is listed under item 19 which is the hub for the TA handle but I'm not sure if that's what is needed. Does anyone know what's suppose to keep it in place so the stop lug will catch?
ole 815
Putting the lever on. It keeps it in place.
TB5288
There's a bigger washer that goes on the shaft first, then slide the lever on the shaft. Tighten the retaining bolt and there should not be any back and forth movement in the shaft.
