AKwelder
I see there were some bad wind storms in Minnesota last night. Zach Johnson(aka millennial farmer) posted pictures of downed bins and collapsed machine sheds. Anyone on here affected?

We have warnings for sustained 30-40 mph and gusts to 60 mph until midnight. I saw his post. Looks expensive. @oldtanker is pretty close I think, did you have anything fall over or fly away?
DT Fan
The boss was talking 100 mph winds in Kansas up through the Dakota's last night. Mn. not that far away. Haven't heard any more about that. Getting to the point I just cringe every time the wind kicks up!
nate
4 inches of rain in a day made a big enough mess
SDman
Lots of damage in eastern South Dakota from the same storm. 3 deaths so far.
sandhiller
OOFDAA! When that wind hit here yesterday afternoon it rattled the rafters and showed why this country I live in should remain covered in grass and not turned upside down. Indians had a saying for the first settlers using a plow but I can't recall it right off. Leave the farmin' to farm country. Leave the grass country for cows! But who listens to me? Time to go back from whence I came. 😄 1

706 German
We got hit pretty good. A lot of bins blown in sheds down. We didn’t have power for 20 hours. Neighbor half a mile away lost his hip roof barn. Completely gone. Blew his livestock trailer over. We faired ok lost some trees had one come down on top of a tractor and our barn is shifted to the east about 10 inches. Blew all the windows out.

706 German
I had an intake plugged on one side of the road and an open intake on the other side so I improvised. 3

maxxum 140
this was at our farm. two neighbors lost center pivots, one neighbors camper tipped over, and many hoop sheds lost their tarps
maxxum 140
there is a tin shack to the right of the barn in the first photo 16x40 it was anchored down by 4 posts 5ft in the ground, pulled the post out and rolled over a creep feeder (smashing the feeder), then rolled up and over a wood windbreak fence without breaking the fence (you can see that in the background) then came to rest where it is all busted up. Have lots of welding to do on that. The shack laying on the stock trailer totalled the trailer twisted the hitch and trailer frame, and smashed the roof of the truck

Farmall1066
Luckily no damage from the wind, but the storm that caused the damage to the south and west, still had enough wind to wake me up at 11:00 last night! I thought we were in a hurricane! I’ve never heard wind like that in all the storms over the years I thought were bad!! After 36 hours of rain, we are somewhere around 6-7 inches of rain!! Sounds like MN is predicting to be down 3 million acres of corn this year! This is my front yard this morning! One of our fields! Neighboring field! The only 38 acre field we have planted, that may need replanting?!
