He didn’t “farm” with it, just raised a few beef, but I won’t let it get stolen for cheap either.  I painted our 806 turbo about a year later after he had that one done, and took this pic of  mine two days ago.   I’ve heard of a local guying willing to go 10k at the auction. We won’t go that far.

I had forgotten about the pan on there. Haven’t seen the tractor in 25+ Years.  Had I remembered it a week ago…..actually I still wouldn’t have tried to buy it, as it could be a selling point for the machine and it’s being sold for the guys wife after his passing (years ago).    What’s a pan line that worth? 500? 1000?  Probably somewhere in between, to a guy that’s really wants one

Last I saw recently  was 7500.00 asking , Dont know if he got it or not.

The last one I actually saw sell was 6500.00 about five years ago

I’d love to have an M&W oil pan, but not for these prices!! 😳😳😳

Sad thing is, we had a very rough 1456 years ago, it had an M&W pan, but we weren’t smart enough to keep that pan when the tractor sold, just figured another one would show up. 😢

Are there reproduction ones available? At those prices I'm surprised nobody has tried to recast them.

I did try about ten years ago.  I had a pan, did the leg work but at that time the $16,000 to make the pattern was the killer for me.  People want the original and don't want to pay the big bucks it costs to remake something.

Those pans are cool....but not 6500or 7500 cool. Not to me anyway..now a repop for 100-200 range I MIGHT  do. With inflation and me being on a limited budget everyone else would probably go twice that for a nice repop?

I once saw a very rough 4020 that had an M&W oil pan on it bring almost $20,000. at a consignment auction. I couldn’t believe it at the time. Before the sale I thought I might buy it and take that off and sell it. There were at least two other guys there that wanted it waaaay more than me.

With the seperate oil fill and dipstick, that means it's an earlier one. But up to 28xxx serial or so. Also means it had an RD pump at one time. I believe the serial split was about the same time too.

On an M&W pan, pretty much bame your price and someone will buy it.

I have my eye on a local one.
