88 series tractor recovery tank

I remember reading a long time ago where someone had installed a coolant recovery tank on a 88 series tractor.  I’ve been searching for that thread with no luck.  Does anyone remember this?  I thought the original poster had used a Dorman brand tank, I was hoping to get a part number. Thanks.

Kept having problems with over filling or they were afraid to over fill and not put enough in and the low coolant light would flash I found these at advance auto, had to remove the ether despencer but we never used them anyway, you'll also see my custom aux condenser mounting bracket I'm trying out and please forgive my spill

Me too and I finally went back far enough and found it. Couldn’t find it through Google

Bingo! Thanks 66!

I would think the radiator cap should be changed as well to a style that flows both ways?

I wondered about that but i've put on 7 and so far they seem to work i got my tanks from advance auto the last 4 or 5 i got the had to get from the west coast

Farmall 1066, if you back up to my one post of the picture and tap on the little right pointing arrow on the top right corn of the picture it actuals takes you back the the original post 88power did in August. I just learned this trick myself last night.

I assume the hose to the catch can just replaces the existing hose that runs down the side of the airbox?

Happen to know what size of hose? Going to send dad to town but not close to tanks or tractor anytime soon.

  5/16 heater hose fits perfectly.

We're you able to leave the either installed mounting the recovery tank in this location?

That’s kinda why I wanted it there, and just a short hose to the filler neck. The way I fabbed the bracket I can just pop it out of the way by removing one thumbscrew for servicing

Is there room to get the air filter out or do you need to remove the puke tank?
