Donnie
Hey there guys, I am looking at a set of rear wheels (Just the outside rim) 18.4-38 filled with calcium. They are about an 8 hour round trip away and I am wondering if the weight of the pair would be more than my 3500 GMC can handle? Any thoughts to what they would weigh all in?? Thanks so much
axial_al
I am pretty sure the pickup can handle the weight, but the size of the wheel/tire combination means that they would have to lean on or rest on the sides of the box and could damage them. Do you have a friend or neighbor who has a flatbed trailer you could borrow? That would be the safest way to transport them. Good luck.
hobbyfarm
My 96 gmc 3500 cab and chassis can haul 2 ton legally. Should be fine weight wise.
ihrondiesel
18.4x38’s with calcium will be 1500-1600 lbs. each, accounting for the weight of the rim, tire, and fluid. Be careful when handling them. Edited March 21, 2022 by ihrondiesel Added
