vtfireman85
My question, without being political , is where exactly is all the extra money going? 18 months ago it was 2.00ish same gas, 3.00 more… who is making the profits? Sure isn’t gas station owners.
Takn4aFool
most are 3.88.9 but i did see one that was at 3.99.
drglinski
Gas has doubled in the last month. 40 cents up since last Friday. Not even a full week. So what does this mean, $10 at the 4th of July? I don't get it. This sure is a wonderful time to be alive.

zleinenbach
All I can say is ALL of our roads better be like a sheet of glass, since a PERCENTAGE of each gallon of gas sold is to fund roads and maintenance.... 1
Cattech
Diesel across the freeway from me is $5.09 cash/$5.15 credit, gas $4.59 at St. Cloud Pilot.
Twolines
Our rural station out by the house is at 4.75. They had been at 4.12 for about a month before that. To boot i stopped in today for gas and candy only to find out someone broke in this morning around 5:30 and took the atm. I watched some of the security footage to see the vehicle and let me tell u these guys had maybe 4 brain cells between the two of them. They used a jeep liberty and tried to stuff the unit into the rear passenger door and drove off with it hanging out of the car.
hobbyfarm
Diesel at local Sunoco: Sunday 4.99 Monday 5.19 Tuesday 5.29 Today 5.39 Called my fuel supplier about a missing invoice today and they said heating oil was 5.359 today. Someone with (2) 275 gallon tanks is looking at $2700 to fill when they get low. I don't know anyone that makes it through the winter on that either. More like $4000 to heat an average home at today's prices.

Must be an Indiana thing because most other states it's a fixed dollar amount that is collected per gallon sold. MN is 46 cents per gallon, so as gas goes up the tax, as a percent goes down. Oil companies cannot set the price of oil any more than grain farmers can set the price of grain or people milking cows can set the price of milk. They are all world commodities.

jimw
Good thing this isn’t political, I’d rather not talk about the young man who wanted to buy a M who can’t afford to drive his pickup to pick it up much less gas to tinker with it . It will become like many things a lost dream to many.
mike newman
...just be pleased you are not living in New Zealand......the South Pacific equivalent to Venezuela , that place of hope and serene happiness.....the bunch of imbecelic non entities running our outfit have created fiscal mayhem ....Petrol is now north of $12.00 equivalent of US Gallon...New Zealand has huge oil reserves ...and natural gas....so the Govt is shutting down our oil refinery in April.....in a brilliant strategical move..and capped the wells... New Zealand produces enough tucker to feed Forty Million people per year...(Yes..Forty Million ...exported all over the Globe )....but some how our domestic food prices are like climbing like you wouldn't believe... One way to save feul /energy prices climbing would be to never cast a vote for Socialists or Democraps... Mike 4
