Boy you used to see a few of the. Way back when. The auto trans driveshaft was adapted to input shaft and gave you a bunch of gears and lugging ability. That f11 loader loooks to have been replated on the sides. And beefed up.

I think your neighbor built this 1, bought it up in nodak, around bowmen. Previous owner said it came from the central part of the state.

There was a guy that Custom hauled manure around here that had one he used a lot. But it had  no cab and a dual loader. He would load a good sized tandem truck spreader with it all day long for years. There were other ones you would see as you travelled around the country side.

Woah! So… do you run the auto trans in reverse and use forward gears to adjust speed? Or am I thinking about this wrong?

@Tractordanpdoes Roger have a long lost brother out there somehow?

Same here.  Cousin has one that came on an abandoned farm.  Even had a homemade bale sweep.  We never entertained the idea.  Between the Farmall M/Farmhand and the 4020/Ezee On we had loaders covered.

Quite a bit of fab work as mentioned.  Necessity is the mother of all inventions they say. Looks beefy enough to do more than enough. I know a guy that put a Ford 302 and auto tranny in a cat dozer. I was told that thing could scoot along quite quickly .  His auto output is the tranny input

He would have a up draft carburetor on that and some jury rigged ignition system for sure!

I was told u flip the differential over so u have the forward gears going backwards? Not gave that much thought.

Correct.

I believe that I have related the story of s 4010 that I helped take apart after “the shifter got backwards”.  It seems that the fellow had set the ring gear and differential into the rear end housing upside down.  This gave him 8 gears in reverse and 3-4 gears forwards......

I did that myself. On a 4010 and sad thing was it wasn’t the first or 50th I had apart.let clutch out with shifter in reverse tractor went forward.

I had a TREMENDOUS amount of fun with Pete over that particular job.

He kept getting the opposite direction of what he wanted.  After I figured out that the directions were reversed I just drove it around his dooryard in “Reverse” to go forward.

I made certain NOT to let him try road gear (6-8)!!!

When we fixed this one. It was supposed to be when you have time fix the synchronizer. I pulled top shaft the easier fix. Everything looked good on bottom and I didn’t really drive tractor before. Put synchros in. The bottom collars ended up being bad so I pulled everything apart put shifter collars in on bottom. Told brother wh was home on weekend to work cattle to take loader grab ring gear and carrier from table outside and drop it in while I guided it. The ring gear drooped in perfectly put every thing back together not noticing it was in flipped around. Had to pull axles ,seat base next day put it in right. Lucky it was a bareback no 3 pt so easier.
