Dirt_Floor_Poor
We were able to get started sowing some oats for oat hay today. 66 degrees F and pretty dry.
hobbyfarm
Probably could here too. It seems just a wee bit early for us but conditions are good. I tried forage oats once. They didn't impress vs fall planted cereal family. Maybe I should try again.
Dirt_Floor_Poor
We want to plant soybeans after we cut them for hay, so it’s now or never.

jimw
Almost looked like 5020 or 7520 fenders

Certainly not a 5010/20 or 6030, but definitely an articulate. The “rib” in the fenders clued me in that it was not a 7020/7520 or an 8430-8850. Lars (midessa)
We always tried to get oats in as early as possible. If the previous fall tillage worked as planned, oats were sown on fall plowed(disked, then dragged in the spring) ground only. Remember a time or two, when there was still some froze ground by the fence line under shaded trees. And if ever a late spring snow storm hit, and snowed on sown ground, you would have near bumper crop on those fields.
