Should I just ride in and steal you away, like desperados do?  I’ve got a desperado love for you.
Conway Twitty

Like lightning on a summer night, you struck without a warning. If I don’t have the strength to fight, will it be love by morning?

Back to the early 70's. On the tractor radio of the 560 baling hay.

Got on board a westbound seven forty-seven
Didn’t think before deciding what to do
Ooh, that talk of opportunities, TV breaks and movies
Rang true, sure rang true…

Albert Hammond   It Never Rains in California

I remember to this day
The bright red Georgia clay
And how it stuck to the tires
After the summer rain

Can I like this more than once??

Well I’ve heard those city singers singing about how they can love- Randy Travis, “Deeper than the Holler”

Grandpa, tell me about the good old days, sometimes it feels like this whole world’s gone crazy — The Judds, “Grandpa”

“I was taking a trip out to LA, tooling along in my Chevrolet, tokin on a number and diggin on the radio” - Uneasy Rider, Charlie Daniels Band

Me and my buddy got us a wild hair
And figured we wanted to go somewhere
So we loaded up in my ragtop Chevrolet
We had a little bit of money
And a whole lot of show
And with Hank Jr. blaring on the radio
We got us a tank full of gas
And we was on our way

I went honky tonkin'
Last Saturday night
Dancin' and prancin'
Beneath the neon lights
Pocket full of silver
And not a care in the world
Havin' fun and flirtin'
With them honky tonk girls

I should give @mike newman a little fair warning not to dive to deep into Hank Williams III. These are two of his milder songs. I saw him  live a number of years back and it was an interesting show. He started off with some old honky tonk stuff sounded so much like his granddaddy it was scary. The went into some of his own stuff that’s on the very outside edge of country music and finished up with some hard core heavy metal.  From your reaction to some of @KWRB musical tastes some of his music might not sit well. But he does cover a wide range

Well, I caught you with him
On those damp satin sheets
So I packed my things
And then I hit the streets

I keep hearin' you're concerned about my happiness
But all that thought you're givin' me is conscience I guess
If I was walkin' in your shoes, I wouldn't worry none
While you 'n' your friends are worried about me I'm havin' lots of fun

Countin' flowers on the wall.......
