Are you sure its not 17000?

Not sure Ace.  Never rebuilt a round axle.  The parts were expensive just like everything else, but not bad enough to start making bushings.

No it’s not 17,000.  First time engine has been opened up.  Date stamp on bearings, pump still has wire on it.

nate
Working on the front end tonight.    anyone ever have trouble with the aftermarket tie rods?   Got this replacement and you tighten it up and the taper must not be big enough diameter.  It tightens down and you can’t even pivot the tie rod end.  It is the correct part number 1280662c1

nate
Well, tie rods showed up,  The second outer tie rod we got seemed to tighten up like it should.   The new inner tie rod will not work because it hits the yoke.   Why can’t anyone make the correct replacement parts??

Well that’s not the case! 3 years ago I was going through the shifting rebuild process on a 1066, 1 main piece was wrong, splines were welded incorrectly, or the roll pin hole was drilled wrong?! Which ever of the 2 was wrong, it didn’t work, period!! Took the parts back to the dealer, parts guy saw the issue, got me another part coming, sent the one I had back, 2 days later, same thing wrong with the next new one.  He called the supplier, they knew they had a problem, but until that run of bad parts were sold, they didn’t know when I would see the correct part?? Mmmm, why not pull all the bad parts, and scrap them, and make them right, your not going to sell parts that don’t work!! So ended up going through another aftermarket company!  Their parts were right, and better!

nate
It’s back to one piece for the most part.  Still no good answer for the tie rod issue yet
TB5288
Do yourself or whoever the operator is a favor and install an additional a/c condenser from HyCap while you still have it apart. It would greatly improve the a/c performance. Just a suggestion.

Used to sit an axe by a rear tire when a tractor sat in the shop a long time waiting for parts. Boss one time wondered what the axe was for and told him, it's for cutting the roots that are growing around the tires so we can move it once its back together🤔 1
