IHFarmer07
Evening all, I’ve got a 756 with a 310 German that has a antifreeze/coolant leak that is coming from around the number 1 injector area(will confirm exactly where tomorrow). Was curious if anyone here has ran into this issue? Has anyone changed injector sleeve/cups on a German? What tools are needed to take out and reinstall the sleeve/cup? Can the injector sleeve/cup be installed with the head in place?

snoshoe
I can't translate but this is what we did. Plug bottom of sleeve. Run tap into body of sleeve. A threaded adapter threaded into sleeve and onto bottom of 5 lb. slide hammer. That removed sleeve. Installing tool was basically shaped like a nozzle body. With pilot that aligned bottom of sleeve with hole in head. Best I can remember a shoulder drove from top edge of sleeve. I need verification on that. Sealed with green loctite. I’ve got a jensales German engine manual but I haven’t combed through it just yet. I wanted to confirm what we thought was the issue. We were correct, the bottom of the sleeve is cracked and it’s leaking pretty good.
