SouthernClassic
So it is pretty easy to find a 544 row crop with gas engines. I got to think could you repower one with a diesel engine from the utility version without much hassle or would it not match up?
Eason
It should be a direct bolt in.
Michigan No Till
Would that be a Nuess, German engine?

brewcrew
You need more than just the basic engine. The fuel tank, throttle linkage, radiator, probably air cleaner. And if you’re thinking about getting the engine from an 84 series utility, you might need more yet.
Super A_sepa
Probably need the starter too and would be easiest to get an engine from a tractor with the same trans because you'll need the right flywheel as well.

Michigan No Till
Lot of cash for a 45hp, tractor! Oh I have no connection to the tractor. Like my 756 Nuess power, with the M&W windmill.

All hard to find parts, because they didn't make many of them, and most of those are still out in the wild.
R190
its going to take a lot of parts from the radiator to flywheel along with the throttle linkage and wireing harnes to do it correctly. engine mounts starter everthing needs to change.

Uses the same bell housing, ta housing, differential housing. The difference is in the diameter of the rear tires and the position of the operator's platform. Should be a bolt-in. IF you've got the Utility for parts you can reuse most of those parts, perhaps with a little modification.
MinnesotaFarmall
Strange, I should have come down a couple posts. I asked the same question...
