Lazy WP
You have a forklift and a couple loaders! At least 1 of your boys isn’t too far away. Who is the road boss now? Matt would have run the county’s loader out for you.

oleman
I once spent my hard earned money on a GI helmet liner from a surplus store. That was in 1959, always remembered as a "fool and his money are easily parted."
1256pickett
Around here those bridge crews will do a lot of work in exchange for a box of donuts. I one time asked for any leftover cement (over estimated) for a small pad outside a rented barn. Left them a dozen donuts in the morning said I’ll be back around 3, when I came back I had a pad twice the size I was hoping for and they even finished it for me. 3

junkandcattle
I bought two 23 feet long H beams to use as feed bunks. Log rolled them off the trailer to save the trailer floor Second oops I need them a 1/4 mile down the road 2350 pounds each right at 1000 pounds more than my loader wanted 😶
acem
Get creative. Picking up stuff with two loaders is fun. Moving it with two even more so. Thx-Ace

hobbyfarm
Hindsight always 20/20 on those regretful purchases. I'm thinking you won't regret this. Get the bridge guy a neighbor township or something. Here they are working on power lines and would do it for me. Don't get hurt. It isn't worth being crippled or dead over. I need to take my own advice sometimes...

Maybe, but he might have to unload the trailer from the chute. I am tellin ya that river canyon is no fun when it gets icy. We shipped cattle off a place, basically the next homestead west on the same side of the river, years ago. Trucks chained up, and a motor grader pushing. They still spun out and had to start all over. Thankfully I was cowboying and not truckin. I didn’t spin out, but my buddy Tom did with his pickup and trailer.
