Thx-Ace How long did it take IH to figure out that they needed cabs put on the combines and pickers?? It's bad enough sometimes with a cab I couldn't imagine going home at the end of the day with head full of crap.

acem
I have seen export combines without cabs in the 90s.
ArkLa 1086
That dealership is about 60 miles from me and it's still called Scott Truck & Tractor. They sell all kinds of new and used construction equipment and 18 wheelers. Although it's much larger now than in that picture.

That cab was just too high priced of an option at the time of the 403s etc . When the 715s came out we never orderd one without a cab and quite a few 101s ,303s and 403s got aftermarket cabs. int 504
I wondered about the big truck nosed into the Metro also. Oilfield rig perhaps. Maybe a Diamond T or other ex military? Windshield looks low in height like an early Diamond T.

Certainty has a headache rack, Diamond-T military had a long hood but could be a civilian model
acem
Lots of oilfield in Louisiana so if that's the dealership in Monroe Louisiana it would mean sense. Here's a few more.

DWF
That's a big shovel dumping into that Fleetstar. Must have been a big shock to the suspension when the shovel operator tripped the bucket door. Does not open slowly like hydraulics. Nice pictures! Notice the valves on the exhaust pipes. They would be closed so the tractor would be hard to pull. All the weights would ensure traction. @DirtBoyz07 should chime in. I think he's got one of these tractors. Thx-Ace

Thx-Ace yes that would be endurance load and fuel testing if not IH then the " official" nebraska to be sell able in that state

The accompanying article is fairly accurate in its predictions. The guy had a crystal ball about the future of farming, to bad he couldn't see the internal problems with IH coming and stopped it from happening.
