Our first daughter has never been hospitalized for pancreas problems. She was sick over the weekend and very sick last night after 2 trips to ER. The first doctor didn’t order blood tests sent her home with nausea medicine. Second trip hour later wife insisted on blood tests. Turns out she has a blocked pancreas duct from stones. They want to air ambulance her to Minnesota to take care of stones. Always something going on in our crazy world

We wish the very best for her treatment and recovery. I pray she draws a good Doc that makes all the difference. I sounds like your wife knows how to jump in to Champion your daughter. You are lucky that way

Yes the doctors that do this in Minnesota are the leaders in this area. They have trained every other pancreas surgeon in the world.. my wife from being sick for years and with the other kids just recognythe symptoms and knew what was wrong

In my thoughts. Good luck.

I gather this is a hereditary problem passed down by a parent?

Makes a person really angry that a parent has to push for testing.  My wife had to do the same thing this summer when our boy was sick.  Local doc said “it’s probably E Coli but I’m sure it’s not O157.”  WRONG.

I hope your daughter gets well soon!
