hobbyfarm
Looks nice a straight. Good news with most neighbors is you will get the truth vs buying one at a sale somewhere.

Ihfan4life
Everything is elevated in price right now. Do you need it… or want it? Are you willing to gamble by waiting for a better deal, by purchasing a tractor you know absolutely nothing about, or are you willing to pay a premium for a tractor that you have an accurate history of? jimw
I would originally say he is high, but I thought land was high in 2002 also . Buy it if u want it , those chances don’t come everyday
acem
It's a deal in today's market. A 4wd 5488 brings over 20,000 consistently at online auctions. Whether you should buy it or not is another discussion. Thx-Ace
IHC5488
Check the slop in the front axle, definitely where it pivots. Does it have a sentry box in it? No weights!!! Matt

Red Flyer
Well I certainly do not need another tractor or project for that matter. It would just be added to my collection and sit most of the year. Mostly interested in your comments about the hours. APF

88power
these are becoming hard to find and that's a good deal, imo these are the most desirable out of the 50 series if not all the 88's
Farmall1066
Gives you an idea! These just sold today, and not a lot of honesty about hours, just says tach shows. I bet the tachs have rolled over.
DT Fan
Just saw one for sale locally, (52) Low hours, under 4000, one owner, asking price? Just $49,500!
stronger800
Good neighbor? Guy that you are pretty sure knows how to change oil and didn’t have an army of hired help or kids that operated the tractor most of the time? I’m assuming you figure it’s had good care, or you wouldn’t even consider it, therefore I’d say….buy it.
