Was plowing this fall and struck some ledge with my 720 spring reset the out come was a broken torque shaft on the right side the PTO was getting weak and one of remote valves was leaking so thought it was a good time fix it all since the PTO has to come out to get at the draft linkage unhooked

Last person to work on this didn't have an offset wrench and used a hammer and chisel to tighten the lines (I hate it when they do that) made a mess of the fitting But we have all been in the field with not the correct tool for the job Last time the valve stack was apart they must have lost the correct bolts (note the washers stacked on two of the bolts)20211120_125428.thumb.jpg.464129219e921337aa71b5e226e6fc62.jpg

I keep a couple sets of cheep wrenches around for making the special access tools .

Thanks.

Size had me thinking it was a 806. Knew it was a 06 from the gear shift levers. Nice tractor

VIN# 514 built on the first day of the 806 in 1963 I was at an auction in PA. 10 years ago and it was mostly hi end restored tractors this was one of the last tractors to go through and the bidding stopped at $3750 so I jumped in and ended up owning it for $4800. I had no intention of buying a tractor as I was there to sell off my collection of IH toys and signage and to meet a buyer for my Bear trap collection as it was a half way point for both of us to travel
