NOS Parts for IH Crawler - Source??

I am currently searching for a couple pieces of brake linkage for my T4 crawler. I was able to grab 2 from the parts depot but that is all they had. Are there any other good sources that may have these parts? I checked with FP Smith, Brown International Services, Machinery Parts Warehouse and numerous other places that come up when doing a Google search on the part number. I also inquired with Weber tractor parts.

The parts I am needing are:

635306R1  Link, brake lever

635292R91  Lever Assembly, brake floating

 

Does anyone know of any other NOS parts retailers that may have these parts? Thanks

Is there any chance what you have can be repaired? If it can be repaired or reworked that might be the best alternative.

If you go on machinery trader and search the part numbers sometimes you can get lucky. Just because they show 1 available doesn’t always mean there is 1 though. Some places have a bad habit of showing 1 of everything just as advertising I think.  Rock and dirt used to be another site to search on

I can probably salvage one of my 635306R1's but both of my 635292R91's are shot. They had seen too much moisture and are rough.

I previously checked with the dealers listed on machinery trader but the inventory was not accurate. I am wondering if they showed inventory because they had them at the parts depot at that time but I have already purchased them.

You can make them out of A2 tool steel. It will get you in the hardness range of the very hard IH parts. Machine at 1/2 speed of std steel. Propane and a few bricks make a quick oven. Go to medium red ( about 100 degrees past table salt melt) air quench with a leaf blower. I am just finishing up a drive overhaul on my 150B and I had to make several parts for my engine clutch linkage. I used Holo-Krome dowel pins as stock to make some of the pins that were worn. They are already heat treated so I just had to grind keeper groves. machining takes time but it is absolute forward progress.  Good Luck!

I certainly wish that I had the capabilities and tooling to make my own parts.... It sounds like you have some great talent. It looks like one of our other members may be able to hook me up with a NOS part. Thank you to everyone for your information.

I bought some brake parts from a vendor that gets mentioned on here a lot. They are similar to original but do not interchange. Pin holes would not accept IH pins. The holes were crooked thru the bands. Reproduction can go fine but ask questions. NOS is best for sure.

there is not enough everyday market to support quality shops

have to remember caveat emptor, all are purveyors of china  ,only 2-3 actually offer anything/few items made in USA

ask many Q and confirm 3x  as in other posts (when) order/from IH /nos and receive stanley/reliance,china

virtually NO one offers or stands behind bearings,even when buying a (not included)complete master rebuild kit
