Not a lot of Red here but never less we had a tractor drive Central Cal !

they traveled 21 miles to a fantastic BBQ provided by Scoto Bros of Merced .

after lunch they traveled back to starting point making 42 mile Drive.

32 tractors made it to lunch . They traveled through Residential , industrial , by the old Castle Air Force base and out through vineyards and orchards all lined and speckled with old oak trees .

lunch rendezvous was at a old sprawling beautiful Parreira Dairy farm under the oaks along the Merced River and because of a nice rain here last week the setting could not be nicer.

I did not take a tractor this year , I had the pickup and a big tool box just in case .
my pictures are little limited but I wanted to share a great tractor day with you guys and assure you that next year there will be more Red ! Lol

the restored IH , Chevy , Studebaker trucks belonged to Mr Parreira the dairy and landowner and the old equipment was a retirement yard on the farm .

the pic of the old Oliver Baler and tractor is to show one of our members , Eddie , what he missed ! Lol He likes IH but loves Oliver ! Imagine that !

BTW what do you think of that BBQ pit ?

Steam engine barbecue is great touch for the event. Wish we had one in our area.
Never a shortage of projects is there?

Those are some nice trees judging by the trunk size against the tractors, really nice 55 stake bed and oiled patina binder, I'm guessing TD14?, wonder @Old Binder Guythoughts on the Case steamer BBQ?

Tony hope you didn't stare at baler projects too long 🤔

Awesome! Would be real cool to be a part of something like that...and it may just happen. Met a couple we call "the hippies" about 10 miles south of us. They are into the same things my wife and i are into.....and he collects and uses old iron. Last i talked to him we talked of doing a tractor drive at our local farmers market. Sadly im not sure exactly how id get the 500 up there....i only have a 10k pj car hauler..

Isn't it about time for you to do a crawler...?

After all, don't you want your good friend Danny Anderson to feel "at home" when he comes to visit you?  Give him something with tracks to parade around on?

And we would patiently follow the restoration here!

The case 800 caught my eye. Not any around here anymore, that I know of.  A very good friend of mine passed away little over a year ago had one, I put a few hours on that tractor back in the 60's. His family sold that tractor to a guy in ohio,  wish I'd had known it was going to be sold.  Always love your pics, Tony. Looks like fun was had by all.😃
