Getting wet

Rained out again today with another 1” forecast for tomorrow. Enjoy everyones harvest pics so thought I would share a few. A couple gratuitous puppy pics thrown in for good measure. Just getting started this past week and not real promising weather in near future.

Looks good! Nice 1460, I'd like to find a nicer 1460 and keep mine for parts. We've had 2.75 inches in Northern Indiana since Sunday morning.  I got over half of my corn done, but the custom cutter still hasn't cut my beans. I'm not the only one in that situation.

It's pretty wet here and tonight it will just get worse.  I've cut 15 acres so far of 206 total acres of soybeans and now fear it will have to wait until it freezes.  I can't even finish wheat planting and that has never happened here before being this late.  I wish I had the money for rubber tracks or could find an old machine that had steel which I would not worry about if it shook apart.  Probably 75-80 miles SW of you as the crow or goose flies.

I just got started last week. My ground is pretty well drained, so I doubt that the 1-2" of rain predicted for tonight will slow things down more than a day or 2. The dryer, however, is acting up. Pressure regulator needs to be replaced. I had 2 dryers full done before the regulator came in heat. Combine bin fills a gravity wagon, and 3 wagons fill the dryer.

2.3 inches from yesterday afternoon to this afternoon. South Central Michigan We are wet. Started beans last part of September rained 4 inches at the end of the month and have been getting 1 to 2 inch rains every week since. Did manage to finish our beans last Wednesday. Have 150 acres of corn to go. We ran corn when we couldn't run beans but the field conditions allowed or we wouldn't be as far as we are. We ran a bunch of our wet fields end of last week before all this rain.

I love the way the older magnums' shifting is as opposed to the electric rocker shifting.

ChrisNY every time you show that combine I am amazed.  What a beautiful classic machine.

Agree 100%.
The other day I looked at my 1460 and thought how it needs a good wash & how good @ChrisNY 1460 looks in the field.

I need someone to take some action shots outside the cab.  I did take a pic yesterday evening after hanging another light.

Nice combine. We had 3 inches sunday. Rain predicted for Wed Thurs.  Most beans done in my area and a good portion of corn. We have had pretty good weather up till now. Sunny ( I think)  and breezy today.

Nice pictures Chris, it’s wet out there. Combine looks pretty as usual. 👍🏻
Picked a little last Friday and was wet both the ground and the corn. Now we are getting a couple more inches of water it should be fun….  I have to cover another 400 acres of ground that people couldn’t chop because of mud.

Use it wisely as it could save you a ton of money next year with fertilizer prices going the way they seem to be.
