Farming Enthusiast
We rode in a Quad Trac for the first time, then went to the home farm picked rock with the 806 finished combing then took over chisel plowing on the 5488. We had a long good day. I'm showing the temp gauge because I can't believe how cool this tractor runs. This is about 5 hours in 2 medium 5mph 10" deep with 12 shank chisel plow.
Reichow7120
Ah, the 86/88 series ledge behind the seat. I swear farm kids on IH farms took more naps on them than in their cribs.
Alan Dinan
For me, the first couple of years going with dad it was the 750 Massey combine and after that it was the series 3 Steiger behind the seat. I was too big to sleep in the 1086 by the time he bought it.

Farmall1066
I’d make sure the gauge is reading accurately on the 54!! Our 5488 runs warmer than that pulling the 30’ grain drill.

I just thought she was runs pretty good at 5mph 10" deep. Of course we run with the right side panel off so we don't cook the alternators too. This other pic is the 5288 on 5-18 plow

I put a sleeping bag back of the seat on the 966 for padding and youngest would sleep there while I was baling. Middle son would always find his way to the trans hump on the old 61 Ford while I was feeding, good heater and the hum of the trans I guess.
