its worth $ what the market will bear depending on contents and mfg

IH  166 and German Military gen set 193 are not the same

would put another set the shelf. years ago let some sets go

now it is more about bearings and intentional bad ones on the market

340 was the D166 engine so different from the Continental 193.  Wasn't the 350 a gas start diesel while the 340 was a direct start diesel with glow plugs?

All 300-350 diesels were direct start continental engines. Gas start diesels were on the M-450 and W9-650

The 340 diesel was a direct start Continental 193.

It was not a gas start.

I had the honor of overhauling one in 1975.

The overhaul kit, if true IHC, would be worth a lot as they are very hard to find.

340 uses a 4 cyl version of the 460 engine 236, glow plug engine.
