My brother got a buck the first Monday of archery. It was one I had many pictures of. Decent 8 PT , gross at 113 . We were lucky to get it found about 15 minutes before a torrential downpour. First picture is the 9 he passed a half hour before the 8 walked out. I don't have any good pictures of the buck after he got it as my phone was almost dead but the third picture is a trail cam picture of it IMG_20211010_151408879.thumb.jpg.788f62db4b14ab9328b9b8d818e2b92e.jpg

Bow is at the “bow doctor” getting a new string currently.  Picked up a new stabilizer late last week as my old one literally melted. Cleaned up my sight. Everything else looks like it will work. Worked a little OT and ordered a new climber. Had a couple ladder stands in stock so I put one together and hung it up. I’m really looking forward to just getting out there. Got some local talent on camera. Second pic is a young deer I won’t shoot. He has BIG potential. Got another couple older bucks that need culled running around.  Crops are still in the field in places keeping me from seeing a whole lot.

Few pictures of the two I would like to get one of this year . I have only went out a few times so far as we are not done corn yet. We were rained out Saturday and I went out to the stand. I was only there 5 minutes until I got a shot on the "wide 9" . It rained a bit just after I shot , no luck with any signs of finding him, not sure what went wrong as it looked and sounded good.. :(

We had a dozen people combing through the area after dark and Sunday afternoon we looked more

Got my first deer with a bow, didn't care that it's small, my 5 year old was with me so it was the first time he seen a deer shot, it was 47 yards and we were 9n the ground walking to the stand. The 2nd pic is not blood its ketchup and mom wasn't as happy as me hahaScreenshot_20211021-185824_Snapchat.thumb.jpg.bb4f372ca52b66f1b7b586db527ed29a.jpg20211021_202231.thumb.jpg.eae4d16859f35363dc1cd00dcbe624b4.jpg

Still waiting for last years buck from the taxidermy,  guy said it might be 5 to 12 months longer to get done and that was after the first 6 months of waiting . Mount will match the top right pic in the game camera with his mouth open and nose curled Screenshot_20211013-092428_Gallery.thumb.jpg.10f2f4d84f48eb1e940d7f8757681f0a.jpgScreenshot_20211013-092516_Gallery.thumb.jpg.2cf1a2cb76158a4bb1cc7401ca36ea79.jpgScreenshot_20211013-092626_Gallery.thumb.jpg.2adae93512dc05c5ba868e65ad5aa5e7.jpg

Last mount I had done was delivered on November 6th 2017 and picked up the Friday of father's day weekend 2018 . Guy never wants any left to finish when archery season starts the next year because it cuts into his hunting time. I will only euro mount any at this point no matter how big .

My brother sat with his son tonight and they had an 8 PT with split brows go by at 10 yards. Too many branches on the side it went by.

I was by your place in august I think, Seneca was drilling at Ogden burg , just as you start down the s’s at the used car guy , there was a huge buck going across the fields in the bottom. Thought it was a beef steer at first looking at the body, then I looked at head,

They are my neighbors who pass the small ones. 130+" is their goal. The trail cam picture above was sent by them . I have the wide one in my pictures but not good quality pictures.

Struck out on the PA youth doe season.  My son got to see 2 different buck including a good one on opening morning.  That evening he shot at a doe twice and missed both times.  I don't know how he missed.  He was doubting the gun so we shot at the target again Friday evening before going out. Last night we had seen one doe but it was out 200 yards or so.  I was hoping it would move closer however it went into the woodlot not to be seen again.  After the mishap Thursday evening at 100 yards or so i thought it better to wait for the deer to move closer.

The good news is it is about the experience.  I don't want him to think it is easy.  He had a banner first year last year with a doe and a buck.  That won't always happen.

This one got a pass because I was waiting for the steer sized one

You have to start somewhere Rusty. No shame in that at all. TV makes it look waaaaaay to easy 😊

Ive been out a few times. Got a late start after picking up bow hunting again this year.  Just keep shooting and practicing. I’ve seen deer but not what I’m looking for just yet. The old bow still shoots better than what I can hold it still but that is a 30yd group
