Boys, look what luck brought me at the scrap yard!

I stop to look every once in a while. There was a 300U (I think) and it had this fast hitch 3pt adapter. I decided I should save it.  $.25 cents a pound and I got it at $45.

I thought I did alright, but what do you all think? I know there’s not a lot around. 034F4505-B584-4067-9602-19BBE7F2F7C7.thumb.jpeg.b6351d1efe5f586792ebe1d989e45d91.jpeg

Your find look too nice to have come off that machine 😊

Are those dual adapters on there?  They look strange.

Yea the adapter has good paint on it. Has a couple IH bolts on it. Haven’t found if there’s an “IH” casting in it.

My same thoughts are those being adaptors for duals

Ehh maybe too far gone. Rip.
nice find.

Yea it is I think……. but it may be a good parts donor for some parts?

Adapter usually brings a lot more than $45. 300 carcass still has the steering box on it. That is often the first thing to leave for parts if it is any good.

Looks like a 350 utility diesel to me. Looks like it has fuel filters. Can't be many of them around.

Definitely a diesel. Should try to save the parts for the engine as they are rare . Dual spools look homemade or some type of early production

Definitely a VERY NICE FIND. You are a lucky man. One sold here in Onterio Can. for $850.00 😱 last week from a local online only auction.

Well for one thing I didn’t have tools to do so.

The “right guy” needs to come along and save it whole. That isn’t me though.

Thats a terrific find, around here you could pay 45$ just for the "Torque Amplifier" emblem! Definitely a 350 diesel, whatever you would pay for the whole thing you would more than make it back selling the spin out rims and centers. Looks as if the tractor might not have been in bad shape at least cosmetically until the scrapper got it.

GMC has the same thing on front of their trucks for a snow plow, I wonder if that's patent fraud???  I wanted ask the owner if had other attachments for the front of his truck but I don't think he would have understood.

As long as you only use that adapter for light work,; mowing, blade work or light tillage work you'll get along ago. I bought one new in the early '70s, 2 days on the 806D & # 55 chisel plow the thing was junk. One drawback, level adjustment is limited.
