TriStripe1086
I went up the road yesterday to get fuel. Turned the flashers on and everything worked fine. When I got back home the flashers weren't flashing - they were staying lit. Turned the switch to check all other lights and they worked fine. Turned the switch to the off position and the flashers stayed on (not flashing). Had to unplug the switch to cut them off. Is the switch bad or is it something else? Missouri Mule
Sometimes I have been able to work the turn signals back and forth and get them to straighten out. Almost like they get stuck in a neutral position. My 1486 did that last year. Pulled in one evening and my flashers were lit solid on tractor and Baler. I messed around with turn signals and off they went. Haven't had trouble since. I figured the flasher unit was on it's way out and still may be, but so far so good. Worth a shot. Sparky
I'm all for supporting the dealer (because if we don't, the dealers aren't going to support us and our old parts needs), but when it comes to that flasher, I think there is a wayyy easier and cheaper way to have 4-way flashers. That flasher unit is pricey...for being a flasher unit, anyway. Travis
ksfarmdude
That flasher unit controls the four-way flashers as well as turn signal functions depending on your preference to have the ability to travel down the roads safely I'd just bite the bullet and replace it FYI john deere uses the same ones Flasher control from CIH = 111.00 Flasher control from Deere = 54.

Thanks for the tip. That's probably one of the few things that JD is cheaper on, I'd say. Travis
td9inidaho
Why is it I get all the equipment the previous owners didn't fix the lights, just started hacking away at the wiring 🤔🤔. The 14 and 5000 both look like been through a blender Mark

INTERNATIONAL 1466
Just bought one from IH dealer, $73.00 not $111.00. Makes a difference where you are I guess.

We show it for $82.25, have 4 on our shelves. Over 300 in the USA Depots. One of the few things I have looked up lately that is not in short supply. Not a unique to us part so as long as one will bolt up and plug in use the least expensive one you can find at a nearby source.
Wisconsin Ron
I think All States Ag Parts carries them for just shy of 50. If I remember right I think you have to use the screw, knob, and nut over they not included with new one.
ksfarmdude
I've never got one with a new knob always reused the old ones
