RyanF
Just wondering if a 13mm pump would last a while when used for farming. It would be going on a 5088. I would also do larger injectors and injector lines at the same time. Would this work, or would it make the tractor a fuel hog or unreliable. It would go on a round baler, or manure pumps, and watched closely.
Farmall1066
My guess is, it’s going to run hot?! And possibly be a fuel hog? My dad has a 13mm on his 1566 he pulls with, that’s a lot of fuel to try farm with!
billonthefarm
It may depend on what your pump is exactly but for sure there are 13mm pumps doing farm work.
DirtBoyz07
If it has the advance in the pump and you put a fuel capsule back in the pump and stock springs back in the pump you can only get it down to about that 250 hp range . I would tell you to just change the pump out from pulling to farm and you can run the injectors and lines if you want just make sure you have clean fuel , good fuel filters put additive in the fuel so you keep your injectors working correctly. MinnesotaFarmall
Don't suggest it. Hard time keeping it cool and will melt it down if it is used hard for long time. Getting them turned down like said above is going to be the limiting factor. For as long as it takes to switch everything down, you could just as easily swap pumps around. RyanF
I should have been more clear, my main concern is life of the pump itself. I understand about the engine side of things.

Danny If you can get it down to 250 that’s less then most of stock ones around here but not sure on injectors my 1566 has 5/20 and .093 lines it’s been on disk and going on chisel plow this fall my thought build it and use it
