Jesse in WI
I have a 311 pull type brush mower that could use some new parts. I could use a couple clutch facings (474599R3) and the front hanger bearing on the driveline (ST669). I looked these up and was a little shocked by the prices. The friction discs for the clutch are listed at $110 each and the bearing is listed at $237. Is there any way to find these parts aftermarket? If I replaced these parts and put a new set of blades ($500) I'm going to have almost $1000 in just a couple parts on a machine that's barely worth that much. nepoweshiekfarmalls
Our 111 3 point mower has a bad stump jumper. We have talked about removing it and returning it to service, but it is still waiting in the shed. With the damage, it has a bad vibration due to poor balance. Try to find a number on the bearing and search for that. On the frictions is there any thing they can be matched up to? A clutch/brake relining shop [hard shop to find] would have something.
