Yes they have a switch up on top of cab from factory. And yes try jumping it add Freon and maybe it will reset.

Lots of people call freon gas. Especially in the hvac trade. At least in my area they do.

Ok must be southern slang lol

Probably. Funny how many things are regional.  I once upset someone on here for saying hoosier meaning it was shotty. Had no idea it was disrespecting a region 🤦‍♂️  been said here my whole life. Who woulda thought. Lol

Yah sorry for derailing the topic. My bad.

Don't jump it. You could for just a second if you want to double check that it is your only problem. If it takes off, then add a can. It should go in there without a problem if your system is empty. If you want to, you could even put the can in hot tap water to raise the pressure up and it will go in there easier. Partially way through, you may need to jump it though.

i had a put a can of R12 in my 1066 with the Factory Cab and the condenser behind the cab. If you check the condenser and wash it out it may straighten up. The only thing i ever replaced was the clutch on the compressor. That had to be the very best AC on a tractor i ever saw. I always said you could have put paper on the windows and used it for a meat locker. Had a neighbor with one less than 100 SN numbers different and that AC was never worth a poop. He finally cut the belt and put a ByCool on the roof and went that ways.

So what i am saying though you need gauges and set the pressures to the chart to the weather at the present time and it should work with freon

Dad put a 1466 red cab on his 806 in 1984. We mounted the compressor that came with it and it was the same freeze you out if everything is good. Like you said make sure rear condenser and fan are good. Pull a good vacuum on system and charge with 134 or whatever you want.
