Jeff,

Sorry for your loss. Sounds like George was a great man, his greatness will live on in you. Thoughts and prayers from Pennsylvania for you and his family.

Welcome to the Grandpa club! Grandkids add so much to your life, I am so glad that I have gotten to experience what it all about.

The circle of life is a miracle we might not understand, but we should rejoice and celebrate it and all the people that touch our lives.

Thank you to everyone for the encouraging words.

This is a real roller coaster to my extremely boring world.

Sandy and I are helping each other deal with the loss of George. She treated him so well with selfless kindness and devotion.

My son Chance will be a way better father than I ever was.

It made my heart swell to see him beam as he held Cason.

And Maria is beautiful, strong and very loving.

They will make wonderful parents.

Sorry for the brag, I am so very proud of both of them!

Thank you again, you guys are the greatest!

Admitting that you are not the perfect parent is a good sign of being a great parent, no one is perfect. Congratulations on the new addition.

Thank you Mike.

George went from a solid 240 fighting weight to, well, when they put him in the hospital for the last time he weighed 140.

I saw him their and wanted a picture, him and me. I won't post it, to personal.

He never gave up. Put up a strong defiant pose. And we laughed, his unforgettable laugh.

He was gonna beat this sonofabitch all the way till the end.

He taught me what being brave was all about.

The way he lived but more in the way he died changed my life.

I owe him a debt I can never repay.

I know he will meet me at the gates when my time comes.

We should all be blessed with a friend like my friend George.

My wife’s father suffered almost the exact same way as you describe. He and mother in law retired and within a year was gone. Congratulations on grandchild and offer our combined condolences to you and your friends family

Prayers of comfort for your loss of George and for God's rich blessings for you and your entire family with the birth of your grandson.

Your post was well-worded and touching on so many levels.

I don't really know you sir, but you strike me as a father and a friend anyone would be proud to have.

Looks like Cason Jay has found a life long buddy too, congratulations!
