My most recent adoption

Recommended Posts

A friend of mine recently picked this little sweetie up from the original owner.

For years, the only use it got was being towed behind a pickup, etc, to different bin sites to run an auger. Because of this, the steering, shift & hyd levers, etc, are all nice and tight. Seems it’s been overhauled at some time too b/c it starts and runs like a dream, with no smoke.

The icing on the cake (for me, at least) is that it’s a ‘69, which is what I have endeavored to collect a set of. 👍

Needlessly to say, I knew that it was my duty to give this poor little orphan a new forever home… 😬

I can’t believe the wife’s smiling😳

Haha!

She’s a good sport and actually volunteered to ride along. (about 3hrs each way)

Her rule for tractor trips is that she gets a good meal out of it. (and fast food does NOT count..! 😅)

Nice find, it looks like It may have had a cab from the rubbed spots on the hood?    Hours don't mean much on a "stationary power unit" that runs a a consistent speed.  Only wear is in the engine itself....and that likely minimal.   Genset motors often run upward of 10000 hours without rebuilds.   Sounds like you got a "Cream puff'!
