PM me    urgently, Sledge...I have two...one has a carby off an English "Vangaurd ' car circa mid 60's....which makes it most unusual...but I would let it go.... Way better tracks than ""Busted Knuckles "'old crawler....which features on the Restorations forum....Neither have blade gear.....which is just the way I like them.....

Mike

Put pontoons in it and road it home!

Not in any particular order.

Farmall B.  Grew up on one, handy yard tractor.

Farmall 450.  Grew up around one, was a miserable bugger to run, but that was because it almost always had a Westendorf loader hanging on it.  I would like to own one that was free of that anchor.  Would be the “big” yard tractor.

1256, with a diamond cab.  So I can have an affordable and useful IH DT407.  Would be a multipurpose tractor.

Bonus:  1468.  Just because.  Kinda silly of me to want one as I generally despise diesel V-8s.  I would find some work for it that was not heavy duty.

Extra bonus.  If I was independently wealthy.  MX100, MX110, and MX120 to add to what I have so I could say I have every model in that series. \

Plus: a John Deere dut dut of some sort as a nod to my mother’s family Deere heritage.

Don't know what happened here.

1 Love to have a nice 1086 for the cab and air plus I like the looks of them. Any 86 series as far as that goes.

2 any 88 series but particularly the 50s they have grown on me

3 a boxcar  just because.

If money were no object.......any or all of the tractors dad had while I was growing up. Particularly the D21. Also the Ford 961 that we owned that coincidently had been bought new by my best friend's grandfather. Later owned one of my uncles who dad got it from.

Oh ya and a hydro needs to be on the list somewhere too! ?

i want something newer with 4WD/MFWD - something about 80 to 100PTO hp with cab/air/powershift/reverser - i havent even looked for something like that because i know i dont have the $$ so no since in looking

not convinced of the novelty of they guys here wanting a 560 or the 560 diesel - ive had two and dont regret letting either of them go - Kudos to you guys for showing them some love !!

I have no desire to sit on another tractor anymore that isnt cabbed with heat/ac I have 3 of those already to sit on

I might consider a 400/450 narrow front for garden work and fast hitch - have to have PS tho

Surprised I havent seen anyone here wanting a 706/806/856 yet, either most guys have them and arent turning loose or we might be in for some lower prices on them.

1.) 560 w/turbo

2.) 4320 JD W/cab

3.) VAC Case W/eagle hitch

560 because I love them even though the one dad had (gasser) was a BIG POS. 4320 just because the time spent on one, I thought it was a good tractor in a lot of ways and would make a good all around medium horse tractor. VAC Case because it was the first tractor I drove.

Would love to find dad's 560G and my 1256, but the chances of finding either are slim to none.

I know where there is an 856 with M&W turbo that hasn’t moved in 20+ years, I’d like to have that one. The same shed houses a nice 400 with picker brackets and the 2MH picker is in another shed, I’d like that setup too.

Are picker brackets worth anything?  Our 51 M still has them on.

I have a set of picker hubs on a front end for a M-450

Or the metal fuel bowl so the corn ears supposedly didn’t break the glass.

1. 5488-Maybe someday. They’ve always been my favorite

2. 1586-Somewhat hunting for a clean one now. I need a bigger horse.

3. 656 Hydro Diesel-We had one for years. We sold it when the motor went out 10 or so years ago (should have never let it go). It was the handiest hay making tractor.

Honorable mentions

450-At some point I’d like to find one to restore. Classic styling but big enough to be handy.

1456-I love the 56 series and one would pair nicely with my 8

Boxcar magnum-duh

JD 4640-I don’t care for most of the green stuff but that series just kinda does something for me

1 Farmall H cause it was the first tractor I learned to run and it was the big work horse on Grandpa's farm.                                                                  2   International T340 crawler cause Dad and done a partial restore on one                                                                                                                        3 TD 9 cause Dad was plowing with one when I was born.

Metal fuel bowl was because any fire under the gas tank caused the glass bowl to break causing tractor & picker to be a total loss.  Steel didn't break.  Dad had his '51 M catch on fire picking about '65/'66.  Corn leaves & husks accumulated under the gas tank around the belt pulley gearbox, battery box, and got started burning by something getting close to the exh manifold or muffler. Dad started remodeling that M, the belt pulley and gearbox were removed, the flat plate installed,  battery box seat base put on and factory battery box under the gas tank removed.  NOTHING left to catch trash, enough air flow from cooling fan to blow the top of clutch housing & transmission clean.

That M no longer has the steel sediment bowl,  glass has been installed again, tractor will never have a picker on it ever again.
