Yes that's it. For some reason the set I have used did not have cultivision on the A decal. Most are listed as pre 1945.

Hi Marty,

Just got the decal set and some parts today - Where do the decals in the pic below go on the tractor?

Thanks, the main one I need to know is the "open" one as it isn't the right way for the fuel cap to turn.

I think the "open" one goes next to the oil level petcock on the oil pan. I could be mistaken.

I don't think either of the safety decals were originally on the tractor, but were probably added as part of some government safety programs.

Thank you! I think you are right - As the oil level petcocks turn clockwise to "open"

The little crank you turn to open and close the shutters. I was just looking for a picture. Most are missing.

Are the shutters for the radiator?

Yes. Marty mentioned them in this thread. His pictures show what I think is the operating rod on left side.  You do not seem to have shutters or linkage.

The Farmall A used a crank to operate the radiator shutters, on the Farmall Super A they used a lever, one similar to the throttle level placed on the left hand side of the instrument panel.  The rod from the lever, can  be seen running almost horizontally along the left side of the tractor

Samuel sorry for taking so long to reply. It looks like you are progressing nicely.

ODB is for the light switch, marks the positions of the switch.

Open is for the radiator shutters.

Be careful goes on the fuel tank five inches to the rear of the tank from the fuel filler neck.

Safety first is the one decal I am not sure about but I think it goes on the fuel tank below the be careful decal. I have seen this decal on fenders, pto shields, fuel tanks ,transmission tops. This photo is from the Wisconsin Historical Societies McCormick collection shows the safety first decal on the fuel tank. Two warning decals are on the rear of the seat. They will be for the drawbar/ hitch.

Don't forget to fit a Farmall grille emblem.

I think the decal that says "SAFTY FIRST Stop Power Take-Off Before Dismounting  From Tractor" goes on the PTO shield. Basically its telling you to stop the PTO before you get off the tractor.

Shouldn't the decal say "super A" ??

If it's a Farmall Super A then yes. Different decals were used.

The earlier Farmall A will have letter A with the word cultivision curved over the A or just the letter A.

Ya can tell its a Merkan version and not one of the Canadian versions, otherwise it'd hafta say  FARMALL EH, eh ! 😀

Somewhat like the song down here called "Take The A Train". In Canada they sing it "Take the Train Eh!"
