Farmall1066
I’m looking for a deluxe pre cleaner for a 1256, I know sometimes guys ask about parts here, and someone can lead them to the parts, or has the parts. So I thought I would try my luck here! I will be calling some yards tomorrow as well.
Sledgehammer
Wasn’t there some discussion a while back about the same pre-cleaner on a combine or other piece of equipment? Maybe it was the screen itself and not the complete unit.... I know, no help in your search but may broaden it some ??♂️

INTERNATIONAL 1466
Had a perfect one off a 1256. You are about ten months to late. Have some combine stuff though. Also should have the original off our one 1456, but can't seem to find it at the moment.

DR.EVIL
One word of warning about the screen portion of the precleaner/prescreener air inlet. Dad's '51 M was real fussy about carb adjustment after his last paint job on it about 2005. It was just the rounded dome shaped cap with the screen about 5-6 inches in diameter and 6 inches tall under the cap, part of the "Corn picker package" IH assembled for use with mounted pickers. I decided I needed to run the tappet clearance, pulled the muffler and prescreener off to remove the hood, and it was a totally different running tractor, ran like you finally pushed the choke completely in. Put the prescreener back on and it ran like you pulled the choke 2/3rds the way out. The tappet clearance was fine, made a parts run over by Paul's, aka Rainman, got a new Donaldson precleaner like 450/560's, but was 1/2" too big, hardware store sewer pipe rubber seal was perfect size bushing. Fine tuned the carb, really need to get it on a dyno, but the moral of this story is, after about 3-4 coats of paint you REALLY restrict air flow into your engine. I might not have caught this on a diesel engine. I doubt the screen would survive sand blasting, dipping in paint stripper or a hot tank it probably would.
