806 all ready

Recommended Posts

Took the 806 in the local parade yesterday and will be going to the county fair this weekend. Everything got a new coat of paint and put on new 11L15 front tires. Got the original fender radio working and listened to it during the parade route yesterday.

That has to be the nicest 806 I've ever seen. Well done!

Thank you! A lot of time and patience and paint lol but well worth it in the end

Very, very nice. Did it used to have headlights on each side of fuel tank and small fenders?

Thank you! It sure did. I’ll have to dig out the picture but it originally had a narrow front on it and the clam shell fenders. Dad and the uncle overhauled the motor in it and at the same time the wide front and flat top fenders were put on.

Looks like a lot of love went into that tractor!

What did you use for paint on the exhaust manifold?

It sure was a lot! I used black high temp paint rated for 2000 degrees. Got it from my local advance auto.

Here’s some earlier pics of it. The older one with the narrow front on it and clam shells was taken in 90 or 91. Even back then I was happy to be on it lol. The other was when I was in 8th or 9th grade planting beans with it on some smaller fields. How the time has flown.
