Bear??

Yes, and a big one at that. I realized that I should use something other than my hand for a comparison.

We only have black bears around here. The only time you need to be worried is if you sneak up on them or if you get between a mother and cubs.

Big black bear was strolling through the neighbor's corn field a week ago. The bear went through my back yard and into the woods. It was big, neighbor saw it too, said at least 500 lbs.

We always use our fist for determining the size of a bear when checking baits. If it's pads are larger than your fist then it's worth hunting.

There was a bear HALF that size in my birdfeeder yrs ago and IT was a big bear!

That`s the one my 9# yorkie Chubs chased into the corn stalks.

Just saw on the news that one was caught on video just a few miles west of Steve C. Near Waterloo Illinois. We don’t have bears here, but I guess that we do now.

Come on MTO give him a break. He isn't old enough to remember the show. I am sure he was going by what some uninformed person told him.
