5088 rotary ac compressor

Recommended Posts

Brother in law has ac trouble compressor is locked up. Local guy put rotary conversion kit on and he doesn’t remember where he got it. I have had no luck finding anything similar online. It is not a sanden unit and no one can cross the numbers , does anyone recognize this setup. If not I will order a different kit.

a 7H15 is a fairly common rotary compressor - im guessing the EG is a manufacturer designation and the B1 is an application code but just a guess

this should work on yours check your fittings/hose mounts just in case - @Triple R mike might have one

990-351 Sanden conversion kit

This kit switches the york compressor out to the new sanden style compressor. The sanden is more efficient and operates better with the 134a freon. Our kits have the Sanden compressor.  This kit is for the 5x88 and 3488 3688. Uses factory hoses and belt no need to change either to install. for all 3488 3688 5088 5288 5488

Thats just a knockoff chang wang Sanden.  Theyre ok, i usually spend the extra $ on a genuine unit for piece of mind.  AP air will have everything you need in stock. Reuse that adapter manifold.  Did the pulley lock up or the compressor itself?
