New Englander
Cirrus turns late or to the wrong parallel runway and hits cargo Metroliner. Cirrus deploys 'chute, cool Metro pilot continues to land. NO INJURIES to anyone! 1 1
Dave Downs
Thanks for that, hadn’t heard about the mid-air until I had lunch with my ATP rated friend today.
hobbyfarm
Wow. They are all lucky to be alive. Doesn't look like the metroliner was too far from being split in two.
New Englander
We're in there often as the International airport is too far from the city. Jets and turbo props on 17L-35R and training and light planes on 17R-35L. It works quite well but it seems the Cirrus may have screwed up. Great that there's a happy ending other than destroyed metal, all replaceable. I don't know how many Cargo Metros Key Lime has; we see them in Rifle and Centennial quite often. 806 man
Any plane that can fly missing a major part of the airframe is impressive. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=f+15+missing+wing+video&view=detail&mid=529F6CC09552C0FC2901529F6CC09552C0FC2901&FORM=VIRE&PC=APPL
