Our Local High School

Recommended Posts

Last month, our local high school implemented a new grading system that gave all students, across the board, a “C” grade average in every class regardless of the work they put in. This was done to help those with less school work ethic become “C” grade students and academically compete with their peers. The school board thought this was fair because all students are the same.

Immediately after the announcement, every one of the “A” students left campus and enrolled in a different high school that based their grades on work ethic, study habits, and overall potential. The “B” students talked about it for a few days, and then they too left our school to join a different high school. The “C” students didn't care much as their grade wouldn't change no matter where they went. The “D” and “F” students thought this was a pretty good deal and continued to miss assignments, miss class, and put in the least work possible. Heck, all the “D and “F” students from the entire district are now enrolled in our high school because they know they will be rewarded with a better “C” grade average no matter what they do, or don't do.

Beware, America, this grading system is coming soon........

Wow where was a school board like this when I went to school, my final report card in ‘64 before leaving was 6 Es and 6 Fs, never had a C in sight, 🤓why would one school cater to such a silly way of trying to bring kids up to adulthood. I can say systems like this will not make it easy after graduation.

Of course this story is satire as it simply reflects the idea of socialism and how it affects our country.  Our country is the "high school" and the grades are the "effort put in by the populous".

Good luck, America

Our school system went away from a,b,c ,d ,f grades or percentages. To a 1,2,3 4 grading system. Starting in grade school and working it up through the high school eventually. Stupidest thing I ever heard of besides common core math.

This way of thinking is why China will surpass us in another decade or so. And Dale you are 1000% right about common core math. Who ever came up with that should be horse whipped with a water hose.
