Replace the shaft when putting rebushed pedal on for much better results and longer lasting

If you know someone with a lathe they can make you a bushing. When they have a lathe they usually have a milling machine too, and can bore out your pedal. All you'd really need to provide is the dimension of the shaft, or invite them over for a beer and have them measure it while they're there.

I sent my clutch pedal and shifter to Pilot Knob, had them back in a little over a week and they are like new, the shifter rebuild and repair parts from them were top notch, highly recommended.

Just take a piece of rebar and weld to the platform along side the clutch  pedal, just make sure the piece is longer than the pedal travel.

I didn't do it myself, but my sons 460 and 2 of my 560's have round bar stock welded to the platform as well. Works well.

My 300 had a piece of flat stock that bolted to the hydraulic reservoir and came out at about a 45 degree angle and then went back and under the platform and I think bolted to the spring holder on the brake housing. It worked the same as welding a rod on the platform but was removable if the pedal ever got bushed and looked much better than a chunk of steel scabbed on. It can be welded on nicely but I still hate the looks of it.

My 400 and SMTA had same problem , Pilot Knob put them back yo new spec's  much easier to clutch not to mention cleans tractor up as oppose to welded stuff hanging on side.
