His behavior towards people isn't good for people who own a website/forum who want growth or want to attract new subscribers to their magazines that keep this forum free and running ad free (Thank God). Not to mention going after some of the most knowledgeable and most helpful members like Pete23 and Dirtboyz who have bent over backwards to help members and not ask for anything back. I can see why he has been kicked off other forums and couldn't keep his own shop open for long with his behavior. I respect your opinion Sandhiller but I'll have to stand by my remarks about him. Good Riddance.

I agree with you sir.

I tend to be a bit more tolerant than most but for the sake of this forum and out of respect to the members who have made it the fine place to spend time that it is,

(he was awful hard, mean even to @dale560 if you read this, please come back, I miss your posts)

he was not healthy for the continued growth that I think we were seeing.

I have to remember that for what I actually contribute, I am glad I am tolerated.

As much as I hate FB and their political intervention that's where most have gone including myself. I think the first time I was on this sight was like 99 or 2000 on the  original platform. But now I'm on 4 or 5 different FB groups with thousands of IH people. I glance on here from time to time but this is the first time I posted on here I think in a few years. I happen to laid up with Sinus surgery so I'm surfing. LOL!

I hate to say it but i grew up around a lot of hateful ol farts and j-mech reminded me of them so i knew how to take him but i understand why he got the boot and yes i find myself on facebook more then i would like to say and i've ran across a few of you guys there, but something i've seen is in any of the groups i'm a member of there are dozens of guys that would make j-mech look like a gradeschooler that's what i've always liked about here

There's been a lot of people come and go on this forum...me included. I'm sure the reasons are as varied as the people themselves. Yes, I see a lot of members on FB anymore that used to lurk here in the past...red reaper, eason lilley, ken updike, Farmall 504#20(wasn't that Matthew Holder's title on here), just to name a few.

However....some of the information on the FB groups is just...worthless. Amazing what some people claim on there that the average IH guy knows is incorrect...but some people are adamant that they are right. And most FB pages/groups move too fast for me. I might see a post 3 days later that was answered incorrectly by a dozen people...by the time I respond I don't know if the original poster is still even looking at the post or not.

A few years ago somebody was asking questions on one of those FB groups about the 73/75/7788 IH 4wds and I chimed in about them. I got called out by an "IH expert" that I had no idea what I was talking about...he was thinking about the 72/7488 IH 2+2s instead. I tried to inform him that there were actually 2 different series of IH 4wds that were called 70 series...and they were 2 completely different chassis used. Nope...I was wrong. He even brought up an article written by Successful Farming magazine that used the wrong info for IH 4wds to support his point. Finally, I think it was Eason Lilley who came to my defense that there were, indeed, 2 different series of IH 4wds in the early 80s. I'm sure to this day that guy still doesn't believe us.

We don’t hear nearly as much out of several people as of late. Some have made it plain as to why. Most are still here but don’t spend the time they once did. Smoker1, DrEvil, Pete23, NewGuy, amashooter, TonyinCa, pete1468, hydro70, and more. All used to post more. Maybe it’s just life being busy but I have GREATLY enjoyed stories and pictures from all of these guys and more.

Good point Jeff about written words having no emotion. It sounds silly but the emoticons are good for getting this like emotion dictated in writing.

I have always said ,Red Power forum members are a Class Act !

I'll admit I have been on Coffee shop little less for some time , For me it goes back to when I joined in 2007 , Getting acquainted with mostly the older Guys, as I am one of the older ones now ,lol.  Many of them have retired or passed and as a old fart many of the conversations now days , I have little relative interest in.

There are a few souls that are somewhat annoying to me , there are others that seem to me to like to throw  a fire cracker in the group and stand by to see results.

I have to admit that I seem a lot busier now but its only because it now takes me three times as long to accomplish anything.lol

In the fourteen years being a Red Power forum member , I have made a number of GOOD friends that we visit and stay in touch, and look forward to meeting forum members at Red Power Round Ups.  Slegehammer & B.J.Kline  help me tremendously in posting videos on restorations page. ( I must be a big pain in their butts )

Having said all this, I do stay very active on restoration page , Which I think is a tremendous service provided on this forum , I am trying to document my restoration projects to help younger collectors in the future or inspire some one to tackle that project.

All in All this is a great forum with great members and a great value to all I.H. enthusiasts'

Thank you Miesners' and B.J .Kline for providing us with a class act.

          Tony

Good riddance.

Looong time coming. There's a major difference between disagreeing, or debating even, and just being a jerk.

Between COVID and some health issues, I haven't had my usual medication of tractor events, so I've been down in the mouth.  Hope to cure that with a trip to Southern IL.  BK.

If I spent less time here and a couple more places I would be a better man because I would actually do some jobs .

I still read but after getting covid running it's course, you have a completely different out look on opinions of covid.  My parents were in the hospital for over a month between the two of them. So from Thanksgiving to a couple days after Christmas it was trying to get feeling better and take care of parents.  Dad was in the hospital for 16 days and 2 days after he got home mom had seizures and was in the hospital until after Christmas.  I was the only one to be able to visit her so almost every night was spent at the hospital.   Dementia isn't any fun.

I did have lasting effects until the end of January or so and dad slowed down some.

My dyno business stopped for 3 weeks and my dirt work business stopped for the season about 5 weeks short.  As I do dynos by myself most people understood I was sick but I had some that didn't.  My dirt work is dad driving my side dump and me running equipment, all of those customers understood.

I quit reading most of red power for a while as it was mostly covid stuff that the majority of people writing it didn't have any first hand knowledge of so it was much easier to not comment or talk about it.  I don't want a pity party or anything.  I do know where I got covid from and he had symptoms, gotten tested the morning before I met him and didn't say anything.

So long story short I don't like to mix political views unless face to face it was much easier to disappear.

I'm very happy you survived it. I know of a few who've suffered quite badly and one who has lasting effects, which I hope don't get you. I've just today been informed that a casual acquaintance, not a close friend but close enough to see that he was a healthy 49 year old, has perished from Covid. The man has 5 children, two in college and the rest in HS or MS. Three days after developing a cough he was in the hospital, two days later, on a ventilator, three more and on a slab.

My daughter has it now. She was exposed the day after her first shot so it hadn't had time to take effect. She's doing OK and her MD said the vaccine may speed her recovery. She's only 24 and has a very good chance of a full recovery. She's well enough now to continue to work from home.

Sadly there are some on coffee shop who continue to state that it's a hoax. I've stopped presenting real evidence as they prefer to believe fake news sites.

Man I've been away a while and missed out. Everyone's busy with spring time. Once we actually get to use our stuff we will get a chance to break it and ask questions. I went and bought a blue one and that soaks up all my time lately trying to work the bugs out of it. It's no binder by any stretch of imagination but I'm sure happy to have a newer quiet 4wd with loader and A/C that will frost you out. Wish it was an MX but the pricetag didn't fit the bank account. Dont shame me too bad

I’ve lost some interest since most of those from the beginning have walked away or passed on.  I made many lasting friendships from the early days. I still get on and read about once a week and will chime in if I think I can contribute. A lot of the newer guys are very knowledgeable and that leaves a gap for most of us old timers.
last year really threw me for a loop. Staying home and shows cancelled made for a long year. Lucky no COVID here. Then I screwed up my shoulder and am just about back to 75% after total replacement. Plus retirement sucks when the body don’t work right.

Getting the camper ready for some travels this year. Got a couple weekends planned with the kids and grandkids but the first big outing will be RPRU. Looking forward to getting together with the old gang. Hoping to have one of my muscle tractors at Rantoul, Lord willing!!

This site has been great for me to be on. I will say I haven’t been on a lot in the last four or so months because of school, other events and such (I will admit looking on FB more). I enjoy reading knowledgeable posts and have gotten along well with the people here with not really any issues. Ive been able to talk to some via text, phone, or pm and I enjoy when I have those opportunities. I never have really gotten into political/ controversial posts although looking back I wish I hadn’t really gotten into any COVID threads at all. I mean I only posted a few times and didn’t go over the top, if I stepped on anyone’s toes with it I truly apologize and wish I could say it face to face.

Anyways, I’ve been thankful since being the younger ones that you guys here had looked at my posts and been welcoming.
