Nice Doggy

I hate seeing a dog put down but how many times can he attack someone? What if its a child? I hope you are ok Bill and have a quick recovery!

One of my beagles bit a child once, the issue was that the dog was asleep on the sofa and the child ran over and jumped on the dog. The dog was startled and snapped at the kid getting her in the lip. I received two letters in the mail from these kind folks that "vicious" dogs need to be destroyed. The difference here is this is an unprovoked attack.

I'm thinking this German Shepherd has a friend named Major  who is no longer welcome in the Whitehouse.... lol.

Been dog bit 7 times.

3 were my own dogs.

Worst was a tied white shepherd.

He dragged me 20 ft to his box.

Tore my calf muscle off the bone.

To the child argument, in one year, 4k children died in a car and 3k died by gunshots.

In 13 yrs, 433 died by dog.

As Joe Friday said, just the facts ma'am.

If he's a digger and has bitten 2 in last 4 months. I would say chances are very good that he will do it again soon or alittle later if nothing is done.

Sorry it happened BB, looks like it was painfull.

This dog sounds like he may be too far gone to save.

Now let's talk about the worthless owner. Just as much at fault. Some people should not be allowed to own dogs.

It might have been a real nice dog with the proper owner. It may have just been a matter of time even if he had a good owner. Will never know.

Now the dog has to pay the price for quite possibly the owners neglect.

No one wins in this situation.

BB hope you heal up quick.

Dang Billy , sorry to see this ? That doggy would be dead if that happened to me !! I was bit as a kid and still to this day I’m very careful around dogs that don’t know you .

‘I’m glad our guard dogs here at the Proving Grounds are much more calm and only kill on demand the way you trained them ?

I cannot decide if that is being sneaky, or if it is outright cowardly.

IF, and I repeat IF, the dog needs to be put down appropriate action should be taken.  To me lacing a sponge with bacon grease sounds a bit like somebody wants to avoid confronting the problem directly.

In full disclosure, I like dogs more than people.  All to often I believe it is the person that needs to be held accountable for training (or not training) the dog.

What I get for thinking I was reasonably safe, in my own backyard.  BK.

The suggestion says a great deal about him as a person, doesn’t it?

I`ve been bit numerous times also by horses.

You think a DOG bite is painful!

Been kicked numerous times by cows. They are EXTREMELY accurate with their rears.

Been pinned to the ground by 2 separate horned steers and had they not been horned, they would have crushed my chest.

Got thrown/bucked off a curly bashkier horse then his hoof got me.

Scratched in the face by cats.

Crashed my dirtbike into 5 strands of electric barbed wire.

Can`t count the fistfights I lost but I remember the ones I won.

And I`m still alive and never shot any of them.

Growin pains.

None of the above nor any of the 7 dog bites hurt as bad as my divorce settlement.

sigh.......................

Anyone who would give a bacon grease sponge to a dog should be made to watch him in his final hours of life.

The lack of compassion for another living being is very sad to me.
