IHC Mark
I have 2 2 post roll bars with canopies on 1206's. I am asking how to tell if they are aftermarket or IH. Can find no tags on them. maybe how many bolts and configuration to bolt on axle or something. Fenders are mounted on tabs off the roll bar. Thanks in advance. They came are on the used tractors and I am not in Love with them.
Jeff-C-IL
Post some pics, somebody will tell you. IIRC, the OEM roll bars have separate legs and top cross tube, while IronBull is one welded U. But I could be very wrong on that. You could also look at the CIH Parts website, compare to what is shown there. On edit, wasn't even the "OEM" an aftermarket add on only available years later? acem
I don't think the 1206 was available with ROPS from the factory. Thx-Ace
IHC Mark
Thanks, Imwas more asking if there are ways of telling if it's IH or not. I know they've been added to these tractors.
stronger800
Should be able to find pics on here, of the most correct styled ones. Pics will most likely be on a 66 series, but as said above, they’d be the same

We put one (our dealer, Drexel Hatten, brought it in for us) on my 766 after we'd had it a year or two, then added the canopy another year or two after that. The roll bar was in three pieces and bolted to the axle housing with large brackets underneath the housing. I always liked the way it looked, and was glad to have the roll over protection, but it amplified the rear end noise, especially in road gear. I always thought about filling the posts with sand to reduce the tuning fork effect but never did it. Probably would have rusted it out anyway. I have pictures somewhere of the brackets I had made that let me hang five 100 lb. front end weights from the roll bar bracket on each side. I'll post 'em if I find 'em. 2
