Star speedometer in Florida.  They advertise in rp. He quoted me 200 for fil 450 tach wether we did a full restore or just make it work. That's a lot better than 1000!

Thanks I gave him a call and he seems like a nice guy. Quoted me $250 so I am very satisfied. I have it all packaged up already and I will send it off tomorrow.

I got my emblems back from Jeff and they look great. But I’ve been messing with this tractor for a little while and I still can’t seem to figure out the carburetor. It runs OK but obviously very rich and labored when I have it on choke and as soon as I take the choke off it will very slowly come to a stop. It doesn’t seem to matter where I screw the mixture that still doesn’t change much.

What are you using for paint. It really looks great!

Ppg delfleet essentials. This stuff is amazing and super tough! $800+ for 2 gallons of it but it was definitely worth it I don’t think I’ll ever go back to anything else at least for an in-depth restoration like this.

I’m in central Pennsylvania currently freezing my rear end off without a heated shop lol. Certainly not a place you would expect to find a 660.

i kinda saw that in your post so i asked.  lucky you had warm weather to paint it. 660 is my favorite tractor. have 6 total .

That’s quite a few! This will probably be my only one unless I come across another rare one. I have no interest in those 282 diesels haha.

Good eye, I started it in my schools ag shop but come summer I had to move it to my home shop. Definitely a downgrade. Right now a new shop is just a thought being thrown around but hopefully in a year or two it will be a reality.

Is paint all that  you used? What kind of primer?

Yeah I used a few primers. The frame and superstructure got a Cumberland epoxy primer. It was relatively inexpensive so hopefully I won’t regret that. Then on the hoods I used shopline by PPG, epoxy and surfacer.
