Missouri Mule
Brother in law is putting up 2 30' bins this year. For us poor boys that's big. We are used to using some of the biggest pos known to man at times. Our area just doesnt do well enough on crops and that's the one thing we all just squeak by on. Anyway, he would like me to wire them and install some nice led lights around it. Anyone have any they really like? It needs to light up the load out area nicely. I can install a couple on each bin if need be. He doesnt want to waste time on flood lights. Probably a nice wall pack or similar.
Farmall1066
We put up some triple LED’s on our wet bin, facing the unload area, the electrician called them stadium lights. If you want I can grab pictures tomorrow? They light up the area!!
from H to 80
I put LED dusk to Dawn’s on mine, you should have access to some of those?
SuperWD9
Saw this idea somewhere and planning on doing it whenever we rewire the unloading augers so we don’t need a cord this is what I plan to do on one or two of them is to put up led flood lights on a switch and mount them to a plate on a pipe attached to the bin with some sort of handle to be able to rotate or direct slightly to exactly where you want it
boog
We just updated the lights on our bins. Used 20,000 lum LED directional lights except at our wet holding bin, there we used a 50,000 lump LED directional lighy. We also put the 20 ,000 LEDs over our fuel tanks & above the sidewall door on our shop & a 50,000 LED on the end gable. One 20 000 light will make a 400watt halide light look like a dim flashlight. 14 yr old granddaughter said it was bright enough to play softball at night. She was exaggerating but you can play catch at night.

Bought them from our electrician so don't know the brand or where he got them. Commercial grade, latest technology, he said they were the first of that type he has installed. I have some pics on my phone, will try to post them
Dirtscooter5
Okay sounds good thanks. We’re they pretty expensive I’m guessing?
